You can automatically send your clients a follow-up email after their appointment, for example to thank them for their visit or ask for a review. You can set the timing of the email for each service, and write its content in an email template.
Follow-up emails are available in the Business plan.
Step-by-step guide:
I. Adding follow-up email to services:
Go to your Admin page.
Click on Services in the menu.
Click on Edit next to the service.
Open the Notifications section.
Under After the appointment, click on Add follow-up email.
Set how long after the appointment the email should be sent (e.g. 1 hour), then click Save.
After saving, you can choose to enable follow-up emails for all your 1-on-1 or group services. Click Yes to enable it for all services of this type, or No to enable it only for the service you're currently editing.
II. Creating follow-up email template:
The follow-up email is only sent if you create an email template for it. Without a template, your clients won’t receive the email.
Click on Email templates in the menu.
Select the 1-on-1 services or Group services tab, then click on Add email template.
Fill in the template details:
Template name: Give your template a name, e.g. Follow-up email.
Email type: Select Follow-up email.
Applies to: Choose which services the template applies to.
Subject: Enter the subject of the email.
Text: Write the content of the email. Click Insert variable to add personalized details, such as your client’s name.
Click Save when you're done.
Follow-up emails work for both 1-on-1 and group services, but you need to set them up separately if you use both service types. Create a separate email template under the 1-on-1 services and the Group services tabs.
To request a Google review, paste your Google review link into the email text. You can find this link in your Google Business Profile under “Ask for reviews.” Click here to learn more.
