How to create permanent meeting links in Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams?

In Minup, you can simply use your permanent meeting URL for bookings. Every appointment booked online will then use the same meeting room instead of creating a new meeting link each time.

Zoom

Zoom provides a dedicated Personal Meeting Room (PMI) that acts as your permanent virtual meeting room.

Enable your Personal Meeting Room

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account.

  2. Navigate to Meetings.

  3. Select Personal Room.

  4. Ensure the Personal Room is enabled.

Find your permanent meeting link

Your Personal Meeting Room URL will look similar to:

https://zoom.us/my/yourname

or

https://zoom.us/j/123456789

This link remains constant and can be used for all appointments.

Best practices

For security, consider enabling:

  • Waiting Room

  • Passcode protection

  • Host approval before participants join

Google Meet

Google Meet does not provide a dedicated "personal meeting room" like Zoom. However, you can create a recurring meeting and reuse the same Google Meet link indefinitely.

Option 1: Create a recurring Google Calendar event

  1. Open Google Calendar.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Enter a title such as "Client Meetings".

  4. Add Google Meet conferencing by clicking Add Google Meet video conferencing.

  5. Set the meeting to repeat (for example, daily, weekly, or custom recurrence).

  6. Save the event.

The Google Meet link generated for this recurring event remains the same for all occurrences, allowing you to share a single meeting link with your clients.

Option 2: Reuse an existing recurring meeting

If you already have a recurring event with a Google Meet link:

  1. Open the event in Google Calendar.

  2. Copy the Google Meet URL.

  3. Share that URL with your clients.

Note: Google Meet links associated with calendar events may eventually expire if the event is deleted or significantly modified.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams does not provide a dedicated "personal meeting room" like Zoom. However, you can create a recurring meeting and reuse the same Teams link indefinitely.

Create a recurring Teams meeting

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.

  2. Go to Calendar.

  3. Click New Meeting.

  4. Enter a title such as "Client Appointments".

  5. Set the meeting to recur.

  6. Save the meeting.

The meeting invitation contains a Teams meeting link that remains the same for all occurrences in the series.

Retrieve the permanent link

  1. Open the recurring meeting in Teams or Outlook.

  2. Copy the Join Microsoft Teams Meeting URL.

  3. Copy and paste the URL.
